05/11/2015Product Shipping and Trading S.A. reports that a vessel under their management, the M/T ELIXIR (IMO No 9282510) has been released (as of 03rd November) by the Nigerian Maritime Administration & Safety Agency (NIMASA).
The M/T ELIXIR was involved in a collision on 19 October, 2015 with a barge, the M/T TANK (IMO No 8681460) and had been detained while an investigation into the collision was conducted by NIMASA. The M/T ELIXIR served as the on - scene commander during Search and Rescue operations in full co-operation with the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center in Lagos. Product Shipping and Trading S.A. cooperated fully with local authorities during their investigation.
The M/T ELIXIR is a products tanker registered in the Marshall Islands.
